When visiting New York, most people focus on the iconic spots; a sunset in Brooklyn is always a guaranteed beautiful postcard to take home, and if you do it on September 11th, it's a little more exclusive. I was the first one to go to those places to take the same photos that many others had taken before. However, on this last trip, we thought it was the perfect time to explore the banks of the Hudson River. Even though we already knew some spots from previous trips, we were looking for something different.
A couple of light rail stops away, we found a direct view facing the famous Vessel, which can be seen in the photo. Although the original idea was different, I decided to widen the frame a bit and shoot a wider angle to include the skyline and the old pier pilings. The clouds during the blue hour helped me capture exactly what I had pictured in my mind.
Funnily enough, the area where this photo was taken is an affluent residential neighborhood. The locals were walking by peacefully, staring at us as we balanced on top of a planter, probably wondering what on earth those two guys with cameras and tripods were doing up there...

I go out in the hope for a silent foggy morning with colors in the sky hit by soft light. I was never before at this place. When I arrive i keep time to find the right position and than my hopes became reality. I use a ND 0.9 Grad to balance the sky and the foreground.

For countless travelers around the world, Venice is more than a destination—it is a dream woven from history, romance, and timeless beauty. In this photograph, that dream comes alive as a gondolier skillfully guides his boat through one of the city's narrow canals, surrounded by centuries-old brick buildings glowing in the warm afternoon light.
Away from the crowded landmarks, Venice reveals its true character in these quiet waterways. The reflections dancing on the water, the maze-like alleys, and the gentle movement of gondolas create an atmosphere that feels suspended between reality and imagination. Every turn offers a new perspective, where architecture, water, and human life exist in perfect harmony.
The gondola, an enduring symbol of Venice, carries visitors through stories etched into the city's walls. As travelers drift along these canals, they experience a city that has inspired artists, writers, and dreamers for generations. This portrait is part of a studio series shot with Marie Grippon (@mariegrippon), continuing my work on minimalist black and white portraiture.
The lighting setup uses a deep parabolic softbox as the main light source, positioned slightly above eye level, sculpting the face and shoulders with a softness that edges toward chiaroscuro without ever hardening the transitions. It's a light that flatters the skin while still letting the shadows breathe — a balance I'm always chasing, somewhere between Newton's rigor and Lindbergh's tenderness.
The structured bustier, with its stiff panels escaping off the shoulders, introduces a graphic break into an otherwise stripped-down composition: neutral background, simple pose, gaze cast away from the lens. That tension between the rigidity of the garment and the fluidity of the pose is what drew me to this frame.
Retouching was done entirely by hand in Photoshop — classic dodge and burn, no AI-assisted retouching tool involved.

Sony A7 IV, 90mm, f/5.6, ISO 100, deep parabolic softbox, post-processing in Capture One + Photoshop.

Shot in a studio on a seamless white cyclorama, this black-and-white portrait suspends a ballet dancer in a fleeting moment between control and abandon. Three light sources were used: a key light paired with two large 105cm white umbrellas flanking the background to blow it out to a pure, featureless white — isolating the subject completely and pushing every graphic element toward the figure and the fabric.

The flowing sheer cloth becomes a second subject in itself. Its chaotic, windswept form contrasts sharply with the precision of the dancer's arched body and pointed feet — tension and release coexisting in a single frame. The high-key treatment strips away any sense of environment, leaving only line, muscle, and motion.

Where shadow defines in darkness, here it defines through light.

On our trip to Turkey in December 2025, we went exclusively to see Cappadocia and explore a desert area 🏜️ in the north-central part of the country that really took us by surprise.

The colorful mountains were very reminiscent of the red rock formations in Utah. And, just like when you get lost in Utah, we were completely alone here too. It’s not a tourist area, and that gave it an incredible atmosphere, especially when exploring it at sunrise and sunset 🌅✨

For this shot, I used the @brightin.star 12mm f2.8 lens 📸, a focal length I love because it strikes the perfect balance between a very powerful foreground and a nice background—something you can really appreciate here. Since I was very close to the mud, I took the image using focus stacking: one shot for the foreground, another for the midground, and another for the background. Even shooting at f/16 to maximize depth of field, I found the lens’s sharpness to be very good.

Every year, at the end of the World Ijtema in Dhaka, Bangladesh, millions of Muslim devotees begin their journey home by train. This mass departure turns railway stations into scenes of overwhelming rush and chaos. The sheer volume of people struggling to board is both intense and mesmerizing to witness.In the frenzy, surreal moments unfold—people sprint toward moving trains, clinging to doors, roofs, and even windows. I was fortunate to capture one such striking scene: a man, spider-like, climbing through a train window, while in the adjacent windows two stunned passengers watched in disbelief. Their silent reactions, frozen in contrast to his desperate movement, created an unforgettable image of human determination and urgency.
